The 20-storey temple tower with a lift to the top floor for a panoramic sea view.
Murudeshwara Temple
The active Shiva temple at the base of the hill, with regular darshan and aarti.

more recently elsewhere in India are taller, but
Murudeshwar's remains one of the most photographed for its
dramatic sea-facing hilltop setting.
Diving and boat operators run trips from Murudeshwar jetty,
roughly 45 minutes each way — book through a licensed dive
operator rather than an informal boatman.
The statue, temple, gopura and beach are all within walking
distance of each other. You'll need a boat (booked in
advance) for Netrani Island.
